Job Responsibilities
You will be a key software engineer responsible for developing software applications that are deployed on or communicates with the MIDS-JTRS software defined radio.
We’re looking for a candidate with embedded software development experience. The ideal candidate will be someone capable of working on complex real-time software both inside and outside of a classified lab environment. Any development experience with test automation experience is a plus.
Position Responsibilities include:
• Support and participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, implementation, integration, and formal testing
• Support implementation and integration efforts unclassified and classified work environments
• Support the investigation and triage of software related issues as reported by the customer
• Develop real-time, multi-threaded software for an embedded system
• Contribute to software test plans, procedures, and other relevant technical documentation
• Participate in peer reviews, identify, track, and resolve software issues
• Collaborate with a cross-functional engineering team
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor’s Degree and minimum 6 years of prior relevant experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 4 years of prior related experience. In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of prior related experience.achelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, or related field
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Security Clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
• A minimum of 3 years of software development experience with an object-oriented programming language (i.e. C++)
• Experience with high performance and multi-threaded programming
• Demonstrates depth of knowledge in programming languages, compilers, and application execution
• Experience with developing software within an Linux based development environmentctive Security Clearance
• Advanced proficiency with C/C++
• Previous experience working with DoD
• Experience developing Linux kernels/device drivers
• Experience with hands-on software development and troubleshooting on embedded targets
• Experience in embedded systems design, including use of an RTOS (i.e. Green Hills INTEGRITY, WindRiver Linux, VxWorks)
• Knowledge of protocols such as IP, UDP, TCP, etc
• Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role is $105,500 – $195,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
