JOB DUTIES/RESPONSIBLITIES:
As a Senior Specialist in Intermodal Innovation, you will serve in a product management capacity to lead the enhancement and delivery of new and existing intermodal technology products. From product definition and planning through production and release, you will be responsible for designing, modifying and managing the various activities related to specific intermodal technology products.
- Scope, design, and deploy Intermodal products that enhance, improve, and transform the way we do business
- Drive the execution of all processes in the product lifecycle, including product research, planning, requirements and roadmap development, and product launch
- Translate product strategy into detailed requirements for prototyping and final development by technology team
- Assess value, develop cases, and prioritize stories, epics, and themes to ensure work aligns with product strategy
- Serve as Intermodal product ambassador internally and externally, sharing knowledge and answering questions
- Execute tactical duties that support Intermodal technology products and participate in ad-hoc issue resolution.
BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:
- 3+ years of experience in transportation, operations, logistics or technology; or equivalent experience in a project management, product ownership or business analyst role
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain/Logistics, Technology, or related field
- Occasional travel required (approximately 10%)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Experience in intermodal, railroad field operations, or technology services a plus
- Working knowledge of all aspects of the product development lifecycle and agile project management methodology
- Ability to interact extensively with and influence senior business leaders, technology partners, and vendors
- Possess excellent analytical, interpersonal, and leadership skills as well as effective verbal and written communication skills
- Enthusiasm for tackling tough problems independently, from assessing high-level goals through to perfecting every detail
- Self-starter, able to work autonomously with minimal oversight
