About the Job

We currently have an exciting opportunity or a Senior Support Network Engineer to join our Network Operation Support team. The primary responsibilities of this role will be to support and manage TB’s network. The Engineer will work closely with third-party providers to implement and support network solutions across the enterprise, while also providing support for LAN/WAN/Wi-Fi network connectivity services across 1,000+ networks.

What You’ll Do | Key Accountabilities

  • Coordinate daily operations with partner teams and vendors.
  • Deployment, configuration, and administration of TB’s store, office, warehouse, data center, and colocation sites’ network infrastructure.
  • In-depth comprehension and hands-on experience with networking systems including LAN, Security, WAN, SDWAN, and WLAN
  • Collaborate with team members and various organizations in order to identify and develop scalable network designs, solutions, and policy recommendations.
  • Ensure continued smooth operation of the global network infrastructure, working to minimize network downtime and the effects of downtime on users by scheduling necessary maintenance or enhancements to minimize service disruptions.
  • Proactively monitor and analyze network performance to identify and rectify problems and conduct rigorous network testing before implementing solutions.
  • Assist internal application groups by identifying and communicating network-impacting requirements to other network engineering team members
  • Capability to analyze and evaluate networks, identify issues, and provide solutions to ensure efficient network operation.
  • Assist the Service Desk in troubleshooting circuit, equipment, and network issues, and serve as a senior resource in resolving critical/high-impact customer issues.
  • Present solutions and offer recommendations to the leadership of the department.

What You’ll Bring | Skills & Experience

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work well under pressure and in a team environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple vendors in a partially outsourced IT environment
  • 8+ years of in-depth knowledge of network protocols (Ethernet, TCP/IP, SNMP, VLAN Trunking), and routing protocols (BGP, OSPF).
  • Strong knowledge of Spanning-tree protocols (PVST,MSTP,RSTP)
  • 8+ years of experience configuring and troubleshooting Cisco and Aruba network routers, switches, and wireless for medium and large locations and enterprises.
  • Expertise in SDWAN with advanced knowledge.
  • Technical understanding and hands-on experience with Palo Alto and Fortinet Firewalls related to policies, filtering, and operational support functions, or the equivalent knowledge of firewalls.
  • Technical knowledge and hands-on experience with load balancers, preferably F5, is required.
  • Proven experience collaborating with vendors to ensure they meet deliverables SLAs
  • A CCNP certification or equivalent is required as a bare minimum.
  • Knowledge of PCI/PII; IDS/IPS; APM; Designing and implementing Business Continuity Plans; Tools for Network Management (NetScout, SolarWinds, Netflow Analyzer) are preferred.
  • Capability and willingness to provide support on call 24x7x365
  • Demonstrated experience implementing and supporting medium to large enterprise-scale Cisco LANS/WANS, with a demonstrated understanding of established enterprise routing schemes and protocols.
  • Knowledge of VMware and NSX SDN in the workplace.
  • Capability to facilitate Site-to-Site VPN, Client VPN connectivity, Aruba, and Cisco Enterprise Wi-Fi solutions.
  • Experience with voice-over IP telephony (VoIP) systems, including managing, installing, and upgrading (voice switches, IP telephones, voicemail systems, and call center systems).
  • Experience with VoIP signaling protocols and standards such as SIP, H.323, and SCCP

  • Ability to sit and work at a computer keyboard for extended periods of time

  • Must utilize visual acuity, speech and hearing, hand and eye coordination and manual dexterity necessary to operate a computer and office equipment
  • Hours regularly 40 hours per week, as work dictates, from Houston, TX or a hybrid office location near Houston or Dublin Corporate Office, or a remote office location.

$90,700 – $151,100. We take into consideration an individual’s skills, background, and experience in determining final salary. Other compensation may include a 10% Annual Incentive Plan (AIP) bonus paid out according to policy. Base pay information is based on market location and may be subject to prevailing wage laws, if applicable.
