ABOUT THE POSITION

This Business Analyst will map and illustrate how applications are connected, perform data analysis, and recommend new solutions that reduce cost and expand capabilities of the Marketing Technology team.

This position works closely with Project Managers, Product Managers, Business Owners and Technology teams to ensure requirements are in place and understood. Responsible for ensuring acceptance criteria is aligned. Works closely with Architects to ensure system implications/dependencies/information security aspects are fully understood. Facilitates requirement conversations with Technology Teams.

  • Works with Product Owner to fully understand the product goal.
  • Performs Technical and Functional requirements gathering.
  • Helps business owner and/or product manager groom and prioritize the JIRA backlog.
  • Performs dependency management and includes architectural decisions in requirements.
  • Works to align overall scope and sequencing recommendations with product manager.
  • Utilizes artifacts such as JIRA, Confluence and Business Process Documentation to facilitate requirement alignment sessions.
  • Works with the team to break down Capabilities/Epics/Features into Stories/Tasks/Enablers as complete requirements.
  • Works with the Scrum Team to discover, solution, and estimate stories in the product backlog.
  • Accountable for effective Product Backlog.
  • Works with Product Management, Business Lead/Product Operations Project Managers for Epic creation and prioritization.
  • Works with developers to identify, refine and track scope, assumptions, constraints, dependencies, risks, and questions.
  • Ordering product backlog items and ensuring that the product backlog is transparent, visible, and understood.
  • Works with teams to gather their high-level questions which support requirement sizing.
  • Identify dependencies and missing requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be local to the greater Seattle area and willing to go into an awesome downtown office (on 2nd Avenue) twice a week
  • 4+ years of business analyst experience, preferably within eCommerce industry
  • Experience in the following areas is required:
    • Data Analytics / Customer Data Platform / Data Pipelines
    • Supporting APIs
    • Basic SQL experience
  • Experience in the following additional areas is preferred:
    • Knowledge of email/push notification experience preferred
    • Exposure to cloud infrastructure like Snowflake, MS Azur
  • Ability to adapt to the changing requirements and partner directly with the business on prioritizing the work.
  • Experience providing requirements for small, medium and large initiatives.
  • Experience working with both agile and waterfall delivery methodologies
  • Demonstrated experience making tradeoffs between business needs and technology constraints while keeping the guests needs as a top priority.
  • Experience with JIRA and Confluence software is preferred.

We consider a variety of factors when making compensation decisions and do not hire employees at the highest point of the pay range, targeting around the 50th percentile of the range. We share this to ensure transparency and set expectations for those considering opportunities with us. As you excel at Amplify, there is potential for salary increases and promotions. If you were to remain in this role, there is earning potential for this level of $140,000. The beginning salary range for this role is $100,000 – $120,000.
