Sr. Technical Manual Specialist

As the CM/RE Manuals Specialist, you’ll be working with Caltrain management staff to update and restructure their CM/RE Manuals and Standard Procedures. Your role on the Program Management Team will be to inventory existing manuals, engage stakeholders to determine how to structure the manuals, and work with the stakeholders to update and restructure their manuals. You’ll have the support, means and space to deliver your best solutions and recommendations on some of our most important and challenging projects.

  • 15+ years of professional experience in design/construction with a focus in management of QA programs for design and construction activities.
  • Professional experience with manuals oversight and/or creation.
  • Ability to gather and understand data, technical processes and information for the purpose of developing, restructuring and updating technical manuals such as Design Criteria, Quality Manual, Design & Construction Management Procedures, Project Manager Manual, Inspector’s Manual, Safety Procedures, and Business Best Practices. Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
  • Ability to engage and work constructively with stakeholders to get input on manuals and buy-in on potential restructuring of the manuals.

Typical salary range for this position is $121,900 – $190,450 is commensurate with experience relative to the position.
