The Kindle Content Customer Service team is looking for a highly motivated Snr. Technical Program Manager with a strong record of designing and delivering solutions.
We are looking for a Snr. Technical Program manger who is excited about driving and maintaining projects related to Customer Support services and tools as well as Privacy compliance services for KDP.
Our challenges are broad and deep – we build, maintain, and manage flexible, secure, scalable, high-performance and robust tools and services. You will help drive the vision, and lead the delivery of current agent services as well as work with new features to improve the customer experience and make it easier/faster/cheaper for the customer to get what they need.
As a Snr. Technical Program Manager you coordinate projects designed to improve capabilities, efficiency, and speed for mission critical systems that protect Amazon and our customer data. You are a highly visible leader that will own the communication, coordination, and execution of several large-scale projects. You work with engineers and leaders to define strategy and requirements. You make appropriate trade-offs between business and technical constraints, clearly communicate goals, status, roles and responsibilities. You identify opportunities to converge overlapping technical efforts, and drive the long-term strategy with support of engineering leaders.
The ideal candidate is a demonstrated leader with an analytical mindset. They will have a well-rounded technical background as well as a history of leading large projects end-to-end. This opportunity requires excellent technical, problem-solving, and communication skills. High level judgment, negotiation skills, ability to influence, analytical talent, and leadership are essential to success. The candidate is not just a spokesperson for projects but drives to get the right things done. At the core of the position is delivery. You will have a strong working knowledge of Program Management methodologies and thrive in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The Snr. Technical Program Manager will be experienced in presenting to Sr. Leadership on a regular basis, demonstrating the ability to synthesize the problems and the solutions into a simple and consumable manner.

Key job responsibilities
– Develop and manage projects from ideation through execution, including project scope, timeline, and project execution; coordinating remote work closely with engineers and external teams
– Address bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make tradeoffs and balance the business needs versus technical constraints
– Develop business metrics and KPIs to measure privacy compliance
– Provide consistent, executive-level reporting on project status and outcomes
– Demonstrate effective communication skills (both verbal and written) across all levels of the business
– Influence senior leaders across KDP teams, and communicate progress, changes, issues, and resolutions clearly to all stakeholders

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
– 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
– 3+ years of software development experience
– 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
– Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
– Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
