Sr Technical Program Manager, Security, Customer Logistics Security

Seeking a dynamic and resourceful senior Technical Program Manager (TPM) to lead complex and far-reaching security initiatives for Amazon Worldwide Operations. You will work with cross-functional teams of technical and non-technical key stakeholders solve to translate business needs into technology solutions that scale both technically and operationally. You must be comfortable with ambiguity and adept at switching between diving deep and thinking big. This is a highly visible role that will interact broadly across many areas and disciplines so you must be undeterred by big scale in a fast-paced environment! A successful candidate will have a good mix of deep technical skills and a demonstrated track record of successful multifaceted, large-scale project deliveries.

Key job responsibilities
• Bring clarity to and drive mitigation of far-reaching, high-profile security risks across Amazon Worldwide Operations.
• Combine strong data-driven, technical judgment with a broad understanding of company systems to identify short and long-term solutions.
• Decompose multi-faceted and far-reaching problems to assess risk, foster shared understanding and define pragmatic remediations.
• Create the correct sense of urgency for delivery and show excellent judgment in driving executive-level escalations.
• Represent, verbally and in writing, complex decisions, tough trade-offs, and potential solutions laterally and upwards to leadership to drive informed decisions.
• Drive large scale, cross-organizational, cross-business projects in a dynamic, evolving, multi team-based environment.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • 5+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
  • Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Cybersecurity experience in at least two of the following: Network Security, Security Architecture and Design, Access Control, Risk Management, Software Development Security, Cryptography, or Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery Planning

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience developing and executing/delivering product and technical roadmaps
  • Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
  • Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
