The WHS Data team is hiring a Senior Technical Program Manager (Sr. TPM). The Data team spans the Business Intelligence (BI) and Data Engineering (DE) functional areas, and is responsible with providing all reporting solutions required by the WHS Organization to drive workplace safety and regulatory compliance worldwide. This Sr. TPM role will mainly support WHS leadership, Data team managers, and individual contributors as they develop large-scale products for the WHS Organization. The role will drive coordination between technical teams and business representatives, consolidating technical solutions based on problem statements and distilling down business requirements in partnership with technical product managers. In the role, you will be responsible for partnering with global teams including legal, WHS field leaders, data/tech partners, recordkeeping/governance, and central program teams to deliver weekly, monthly, and quarterly executive level narratives, reports, and documents. The role will manage complex and competing deliverables by establishing working backwards timelines, identifying bottlenecks and dependencies, communicating and tracking deliverables, and compiling inputs from various contributors.
Key job responsibilities
– Establish comprehensive tactical plans to develop Business Intelligence and Data Engineering products.
– Effectively drive action items to completion by business and support teams according to the plan.
– Reduce the risk of cross-organizational failure modes (e.g. requirements not sufficiently understood/documented, ineffective cross-team collaboration, inadequate system design, insufficient testing/gaps, etc.)
– Obtain buy-in and drive collaboration with external teams effectively.
– Work closely with technical leaders and product managers to compose and influence product vision, roadmap, and execution.
– Lead high-visibility, cross-team initiatives including scoping, requirement gathering, technical design, implementation, and launch phases. This includes evaluating and recommending technical solutions to meet customer requirements, ensuring long-term scalability, and meeting project timelines.
– Write effective narratives and present them to senior leadership.
– Be a technical problem solver on the team, identifying innovative solutions to project roadblocks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 4+ years of technical product or program management experience
– Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
– 3+ years of analytical, quantitative, communication, and presentations experience
– Experience working directly with engineering teams
– Experience leading highly technical programs involving infrastructure, complex systems, systems engineering
– Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 6+ years of technical product or program management experience
– Experience building and evaluating system-level technical design
– Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
