Sr. TPM, Financial Automation – Amazon Games, Business & Demand Planning

Amazon Games is seeking an exceptionally skilled and enthusiastic Sr. Technical Program Manager to join the Business Operations (BizOps) team, helping to build out the FinTech automation tools required to sell our games, apps, and in-game items on internal and external storefronts/devices. As part of the BizOps FinTech automation team, you will build automated services to book digital transactions into Amazon’s financial ledger and financial payment systems. The team is working on exciting opportunities to automate the ingestion of 3rd party transactions from Apple, Google, Steam, Sony, Microsoft, and more! You will integrate with these various 3rd party platforms to process sales for Amazon Games. This work is done using the latest and greatest AWS technologies and data-driven NoSQL solutions. As a Sr. Technical Program Manager on the BizOps FinTech team, you’ll play a critical role in how Amazon Games monetizes our digital content and products. You will power Amazon Games’ ability to collect revenue, account for transactions, and pay royalties to our third-party partners. You will have direct impact and line of sight to the launches of upcoming games developed and published by Amazon Games.

Key job responsibilities

  • You will anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, anticipate and make trade-offs, and balance the business needs versus technical constraints.
  • You have demonstrated the ability to take large, complex projects and break them down into manageable pieces, develop functional specifications, then deliver them in a timely manner.
  • Your work will include cross-functional and multi-group collaboration working with stakeholders, schedules, and competing priorities to deliver the right balance of results.
  • You will lead and coordinate implementation efforts between internal teams to develop optimal solutions.
  • You will be expected to make appropriate trade-offs to optimize time-to-market, clearly communicate goals, roles, responsibilities, and desired outcomes to internal cross-functional and remote project teams.
  • You will be expected to assess and evaluate feature and architectural tradeoffs to expand our solutions for delivering games to the market.
  • You will work with developers to simplify the adoption of new capabilities, develop deep partner relationships to identify opportunities for collaboration, and help define and report on metrics for tracking success of our product and our teams.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of technical product or program management experience
  • 7+ years of working directly with engineering teams experience
  • 3+ years of software development experience
  • 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience
  • Experience managing programs across cross functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience
  • Experience managing projects across cross functional teams, building sustainable processes and coordinating release schedules
  • Experience defining KPI’s/SLA’s used to drive multi-million dollar businesses and reporting to senior leadership
  • Experience automating complex Financial systems, mapping business logic to accounting, tax, and royalty recoupment & payment functionality.
  • Game Industry Experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
