The right candidate has a strong program management background, will have demonstrated experience leading medium to large projects, and will have a well-rounded technical background in operations and manufacturing. You will develop and drive high-level strategic initiatives and you also enjoy rolling up your sleeves to get the job done.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Technical Program Manager leading Operations in a regulated environment, you will be responsible for the following:
• Execute manufacturing and operations projects to deliver volume products working with cross-functional teams
• Drive projects from manufacturing proof-of-concept to customer shipment of products
• Assist in all engineering development builds and influence product manufacturability, testability, and supply chain responsiveness in pursuit of high quality, low cost and maximum flexibility
• Lead contract manufacturing (CM) teams in planning and executing builds, factory and ramp readiness, and new product ramps
• Manage all manufacturing and operation related communications throughout the organization, to escalate key issues and present options for resolution to the cross-functional executive teams
• Understand and manage cross-functional dependencies, identify risks and issues, and work towards mitigation
• Design and implement scalable mechanisms to streamline close collaborations within our multi-disciplinary teams to enhance overall team productivity

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– Bachelor’s degree in STEM, operations, management, supply chain or relevant field
– 8+ years of technical program management experience throughout the product life cycle in operations, manufacturing or manufacturing engineering, supply chain
– 6+ years of experience working directly with engineering teams. Experience managing projects with external vendors, cross-functional teams, designing and implementing sustainable processes
– Strong working knowledge of Product Development Processes – Proof of Concept, Design Validation, Engineering Validation, Process/Product Validation, Pilots and Mass Production execution to end-of-life
– Experience partnering and leading geographically dispersed and/or ad-hoc teams
– Ability to travel up to 15%
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Master’s or higher education in Operations Management, Engineering or an MBA
– Experience partnering and leading geographically dispersed and/or ad-hoc teams
– PMP certifications

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $119,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $231,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
