The Reports Writer is a critical role that requires a person with strong writing skills. This individual will be assisting senior management in the development of reports, statements, and briefing documents. He/she must be able to perform research and analysis on data and write reports, adhering to tight timelines and strict quality guidelines, using numerous U.S. Government databases. The Reports Writer is responsible for the analysis and validation of a wide variety of information which supports several facets of U.S. Government’s Intelligence Community (IC) requirements and responsibilities. This individual must be able to organize documentation that relays the salient points to partners and decision makers within the IC.
Compensation & Benefits:
Estimated Starting Salary Range for Writer/Editor Sr.: $70,000 – $80,000
Pay commensurate with experience.
Full time benefits include Medical, Dental, Vision, 401K and other possible benefits as provided. Benefits are subject to change with or without notice.
Writer/Editor Sr. Responsibilities Include:
- Manages multiple projects without having direct supervisory responsibilities.
- Lead and/or guide the work of other employees.
- Supervises/Manages a department and provides input towards hiring/firing, and performance decisions.
- Supervises/Manages a department and has input authority over hiring/firing, and performance decisions.
- Manages more than one department through subordinate Supervisors or Managers.
- Directs multiple departments through Department Managers.
- Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Writer/Editor Sr. Experience, Education, Skills, Abilities requested:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Minimum of 3-5 years’ professional experience within the Intelligence Community.
- Public Trust Security Clearance
- Ability to read, to comprehend, and subsequently condense and simplify complicated documents for digestion by a variety of audiences.
- Ability to develop documentation that gets the salient points across in the least amount of words and in a fashion that is understandable by all.
- Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal, management, and issue-comprehension skills.
- Ability to participate actively in meetings where important issues are being discussed and be able to capture the significant points of the discussion, packaging them in written form for subsequent distribution.
