Therapeutic Associates, Inc., the Pacific Northwest’s premier outpatient physical therapy organization, is seeking a Staff Accountant Intern to join our amazing support team in a temporary role through October 1, 2023. Therapeutic Associates serves patients in over 100 locations across Washington, Oregon, California and Idaho. Our Administrative offices are located in Kent, Washington.
Overview:
Staff Accountant must have comprehensive knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles, and working knowledge of Federal, State and Local tax requirements. This position is integral to the preparation of financial statements, tax returns and management reports used in the operation of our business. The Staff Accountant will maintain company accounts for Therapeutic Associates and its related entities, and work with other staff members in the finance team to provide accurate and complete financial information necessary to make business decisions. This position reports to the Assistant Controller and will be able to assist, support and perform duties if needed in A/P, A/R and Payroll functions.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Responsible for maintaining general ledger, subsidiary ledgers and chart of accounts including journal entries, account analysis and account reconciliation including fixed asset schedule.
- Assists and provides back-up support and perform duties of A/P, A/R as needed
- Responsible for reporting of check processing and maintenance of daily bank account information, reconciliation and monitoring of cash balance activity
- Strong attention to detail, analytical and problem-solving capabilities
- Ability to effectively and clearly communicate at all levels within the organization
- Team building/Interpersonal Skills
- Work Prioritization/flexibility/Adaptability
- Highly proficiency with MS Office products including Word, Excel and Outlook required
Education and Experience:
- Associates Degree in Accounting, Business and/or Finance required
- Minimum of three years of accounting experience, preferably in a healthcare, service industry, or public accounting environment
- Preference given to candidates with software experience with Dayforce Human Capital Management System, Business Central and Concur
