Overview
The Staff Accountant is responsible for assisting in the accuracy and integrity of all aspects of financial and accounting activities at Snapdragon Stadium. The ideal candidate is a detail-oriented, proactive, and a collaborative professional responsible for supporting the financial infrastructure.
This role will pay a wage of $27 to $30.

About the Venue
Opened in September 2022, Snapdragon Stadium is a 35,000-seat multipurpose venue that serves as the home for San Diego State University Football (SDSU), San Diego Wave FC (NSWL Soccer), San Diego Legion (MLR Rugby), major concerts and festivals, professional and amateur sports, motorsports, international soccer, entertainment events and private special events. Snapdragon Stadium also features incredible special event spaces such as the Cox Business Club, Founders Lounge, San Diego Zoo Alliance Club, Dos Equis Club, Sycuan Piers and other unique venues. Responsibilities
• Perform related professional accounting work in support of accounting functions.
• Process and prepare accounts payable invoices.
• Verify & post entries to general ledger accounts; run trial balances.
• Assist with month end closing procedures.
• Bank Reconciliation.
• Reconcile balance sheet accounts.
• Prepare select event settlements and sales journals.
• Prepare event profitability statements.
• Handle payroll processing.
• Assist with employee record maintenance.
• Prepare audit work papers and perform analysis of accounts.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in accounting, finance, business administration or a closely related field.
- Minimum of 1 – 3 years of accounting professional experience preferred.
- Must be accurate and efficient with ability to meet deadlines.
- Capable of working with all levels of management.
- Communicates clearly and concisely both orally and in writing.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with those contacted in the course of work.
- Be a self-starter, highly organized and detail oriented.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, and Outlook required
- Knowledge of Sage 100 and ADP Software preferred.
- Experience working in entertainment or venues is preferred.
- The ability to work night, weekends, and holidays as required.
