The Human Resource Center is looking for an organized and experienced trainer to join our team. This is a professional training and development position accountable for developing and delivering training programs (complete with materials, tutorials, instructions, and learning resources such as online modules and guides), administering assessments and certification requirements, providing coaching, and ensuring knowledge transfer. This trainer will train all levels of DSS personnel in areas such as leadership development, onboarding, professional development, human resources training, safety training, CPR-AED, First Aid, e-learning and continuous improvement.

The Human Resource Center plans, develops, and implements statewide human resource programs; providing leadership, direction, and coordination of related services and support department-wide.
What you’ll do:
- Plan, design, develop, market, schedule and deliver training content.
- Assist with the implementation of human resource initiatives; establish and interpret training policies and procedures; formulate recommendations that provide effective staff training and professional development; and ensure department compliance with the Leadership Development Rule.
- Identify training needs, help establish priorities and direct or coordinate training efforts.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree and 2-4 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)

Preferred Qualifications : A successful candidate must be able to work independently in a fast-paced environment. The candidate must be capable of working with a variety of software programs (i.e. Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Camtasia, Articulate, Kahoot!, Poll Everywhere, etc.), be skilled in development and delivery of content in multiple platforms and methods, have strong writing skills and have experience with engagement methods for in-person and virtual delivery methods. Strong verbal and written communication skills, as well as excellent organizational skills are highly desired.
