Job Description
To help us build and maintain critical systems for ensuring an uninterrupted end to end CI/CD flow we’re looking for an experienced DevOps engineer who can work in a globally distributed team. The ideal candidate will have a solid background in software engineering and be familiar with Groovy, Java and/or Python, and will work with developers and engineers to ensure that software development follows established processes and works as intended.
Objectives of this role
Building and implementing new development tools and infrastructure
Understanding the needs of stakeholders and conveying them to developers
Working on ways to automate and improve development and release processes
Identifying technical problems and developing software updates and fixes
Working with software developers and software engineers to ensure that development follows established processes and works as intended
Responsibilities
Deploy updates and fixes, and provide technical support
Build tools to reduce occurrence of errors and improve user experience
Develop software to integrate with internal back-end systems
Perform root cause analysis of production errors and resolve technical issues
Develop scripts to automate visualization
Design procedures for system troubleshooting and maintenance
Required skills and qualifications
Experience as a DevOps engineer or in a similar software engineering role
Proficiency with Git and GitLab/GitHub workflows
Good knowledge of Java, Groovy or Python
Good knowledge of Docker and container workflows
Working knowledge of Jenkins or similar CI/CD platform
Problem-solving attitude
Collaborative team spirit
Fluent in English.
Preferred skills and qualifications
Bachelor of science degree (or equivalent) in computer science, engineering, or relevant field
Experience in developing/engineering applications for a large company
Experience with one or more cloud platforms, e.g. AWS, GCP or Azure.
Experience working in agile teams.
Minimum Salary: $159,200.00
Maximum Salary:$228,850.00
The pay range for this position is expected to be between $648,000.00 and $993,600.00/year; however, the base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position also includes medical benefits, 401(k) eligibility, vacation, sick time, and parental leave. Additional details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
If hired, employee will be in an “at-will position” and the Company reserves the right to modify base salary (as well as any other payment or compensation program) at any time, including for reasons related to individual performance, Company or individual department/team performance, and market factors.
