Lucid is looking for an experienced Staff Litigation Paralegal to join our legal team. This role will be an integral part of Lucid’s litigation team and will work alongside in-house counsel to defend, prosecute, and handle litigation and pre-litigation matters on behalf of Lucid. The role will support a wide range of litigation and pre-litigation matters, including product liability, employment, breach of contract, regulatory inquiries, class actions, and internal investigations. The role will further be responsible for coordinating with our finance, payroll, and insurance teams on litigation matters. The role will also be tasked with aiding in special projects and developing processes to improve operational efficiency across the legal department. We are looking for a hard-working, detail-oriented, and organized team player to join our fast-moving legal team.

You Will:

    • Work closely with in-house counsel to prosecute, defend, and/or respond to lawsuits, regulatory inquiries, and pre-litigation matters.
    • Gather, manage, and organize information, identify documents, and coordinate litigation hold and document preservation processes.
    • Maintain, update, and populate various template agreements.
    • Maintain case files and calendars and coordinate workflows, status updates, and case organization.
    • Help coordinate responses to subpoenas, garnishments, and other legal inquiries.
    • Help to analyze and to improve internal legal procedures, tools, and practices to improve efficiency.
    • Support internal investigations related to legal and ethical compliance violations.
    • Work directly with in-house counsel to provide support and coordination for legal matters, including gathering information for discovery responses, coordinating witness interviews, and identifying information and documents.
    • Work seamlessly and collaboratively within the legal team and as a legal business partner to multiple internal business stakeholders, including the finance, payroll, and insurance teams.

You Bring:

    • Minimum of 7+ years of paralegal experience, preferably in a fast-paced litigation environment (law firm experience and/or in-house experience preferred).
    • Excellent communication skills (verbal and written), including the ability to effectively relay complex information in a concise format.
    • Demonstrated ability to work efficiently and independently, prioritize workflow, meet demanding deadlines, and manage multi-faceted projects.
    • Proven track record of learning quickly, taking initiative, working proactively, being resourceful, and taking on additional responsibility.
    • Paralegal certification is preferred but not required.

Salary Range: The compensation range for this position is specific to the locations listed below and is the range Lucid reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position taking into account the wide variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including job-related knowledge; skillset; experience, education and training; certifications; and other relevant business and organizational factors.
• California (Bay Area) – $108,000 – $154,000 annually

Additional Compensation and Benefits: Lucid offers a wide range of competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, disability insurance, vacation, and 401k. The successful candidate may also be eligible to participate in Lucid’s equity program and/or a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing such programs.
