What you’ll do…
About the role
The Staff Product Manager, End to End Solutions (Health & Wellness) will drive the product roadmap for digital and in-person experiences across Walmart to holistically help customers address their health and wellness needs. Today, Walmart sells point solutions, leaving customers to navigate our silos and abundance of choice, resulting in trial-and-error and poor health outcomes. You will have an opportunity to stitch together Walmart’s vast array of retail products (e.g., grocery, OTC), pharmacy, virtual and in-clinic healthcare services, vision center, insurance enrollment, clinical trial recruitment, financial services, and the Walmart App / In-Store / In-Home experiences into comprehensive, guided journeys centered on customers’ Jobs to Be Done. From relieving cold / cough / flu symptoms to reducing chronic pain to losing weight, these Solutions will empower customers to live healthier lives by simplifying and accelerating their paths to improved health and well-being.
About the team
Walmart is on a mission to help people live healthier lives by providing best-in-class, accessible, and affordable human-centered care to our associates and the communities we serve. Our vision is to deliver best-in-class healthcare at the right level, at the right time, in the right setting, for everyone. Our strategy is to be an integrated, omnichannel healthcare organization that leverages data, technology, design, and our unique assets to improve engagement, health equity, and outcomes.
We believe we are uniquely positioned to positively disrupt the healthcare system given our proximity, scale, consumer traffic in stores and online, and brand trust. Over 90% of Americans live within 10 minutes of a Walmart, with nearly 5,000 Walmart locations, 4,700 pharmacies, and 3,000 vision centers in medically-underserved areas. Our breadth enables us to assemble holistic solutions across retail (e.g., food), pharmacy, retail clinics, digital health / telehealth services in the home and on the go, insurance services, financial services, and our community presence. Consequently, Walmart can become the preferred option for health, while creating shared value for consumers, associates, clients (health plans / employers), and communities.
To support this strategy, we are building out a Product team to develop a unified user experience rooted in consumer-centric design, best-in-class omnichannel care, and a robust data platform for coordinated care and personalized analytics. We are looking for the best and the brightest Product leaders at all levels who can help shape and define our product roadmap and strategy and drive agile execution. Walmart is investing aggressively in Health & Wellness, and you will have an opportunity to drive impact at scale and build a platform from the ground up, back by the stability and scalability that the Fortune 1 company can provide.
What you’ll get to lead…
- Develop the product strategy and roadmap for End to End (E2E) Health & Wellness Solutions to reduce the barriers to improved health and well-being, spanning retail / eCommerce, pharmacy, healthcare service delivery, vision center, and other Walmart experiences.
- Articulate customer Jobs to Be Done / health needs, define key behaviors and barriers, prioritize new features, identify capability gaps, and define journey flows – all rooted in behavioral science and human-centered design – in collaboration with your business, clinical, and UX design / research teammates.
- Craft the tech roadmap for consumer-centered digital and in-person user experiences that deliver a set of interventions / features for each solution.
- Contribute to the product strategy for the components of the scalable tech infrastructure for all E2E Solutions.
- Hypothesize, build, measure, and learn to continuously inform the product direction.
- Execute your roadmap alongside dedicated engineering teams using Agile methods, as well as through fellow product / engineering teams across the organization.
You’ll sweep us off our feet if…
- You are highly motivated by impact. You are mission-driven and are excited about joining this highly strategic area within Walmart, the largest organization that has the potential to positively disrupt the healthcare industry.
- You are obsessed with the customer . You always look to understand, empathize with, and represent the voice of the customer / patient. You work backwards from wants and unmet needs towards simple solutions. You quantify value to customers and internal stakeholders and use research and data to improve products and processes.
- You have deep expertise in both healthcare / wellness and eCommerce / retail. You ideally have developed consumer-facing experiences that span both domains.
- You appreciate and understand the value of applying behavioral science to product management . You have a deep understanding of the Jobs to Be Done framework and have made quantifiable impact in building products that address barriers to key behaviors.
- You are a seasoned product leader with a successful track record of building products through other teams, managing through influence and prioritization, communicating clearly, leading teams, getting buy-in from leadership, and managing stakeholders in a highly matrixed organization.
- You are excited about solving complex challenges and can create structure amidst much ambiguity. You are comfortable digging deep into the nuances of customer needs, extrapolating into systems-level strategic thinking, and diving into the weeds of features.
- You are scrappy but do not sacrifice on quality. You have a test-and-learn mentality and an agile way of working cross-functionally and collaboratively to improve your team’s products.
