As a Walmart Staff Software Engineer, you will make an impact by providing architecture strategy in the UI space. With a startup culture and new products churning out you will be responsible for fast tracking our UI journey by building reusable components and using the industry best practices and frameworks
About the Team:
Data Ventures exists to unlock the full value of Walmart’s data by developing and productizing B2B data initiatives that empower merchants and suppliers to make better, faster decisions for the business. As part of this transformation, we’re seeking entrepreneurial individuals to help drive data productization from concept to deployment. Our team creates reusable technologies to help with customer acquisition, onboarding, and empowering merchants, while ensuring a seamless experience for both of these stakeholders. We also optimize tariffs and assortment in accordance with Walmart’s Everyday Low-Cost philosophy. We not only create affordability, but we also deliver customized experiences for customers across all channels – in-store, mobile app, and websites.
What You’ll Do:
- Work with users to design the optimal user experience (UX) and interfaces (UI).
- Architect our UI strategy, composable widget components and help create reusable components to build newer products quickly off the ground.
- Maintain service level agreement performance of UI responsiveness.
- Work closely with the backend for front end (BFF) engineers during feature roll outs.
- Develop interfaces that are adaptable to APIs and microservice architectures.
- Adopt to and implement evolving application styling standards.
What You’ll Bring:
- At least 6 years of experience in Software Application Development.
- At least 4 years of experience in ReactJs, JavaScript
- Experienced in computing platforms such as GCP or Azure
- Experience building and deploying APIs and applications.
- Experience in micro front end architecture
- Experience with Redux, Charting
- Experience with DS and Algorithm basics
- Knowledge of Cloud, SQL, and CI/CD
- Mobile app development is a plus.
- Have tech led the team and guided engineers.
- Able to break down a product goal into dev deliverables.
- Approaches risks head-on with options to mitigate.
- Ability to lead our technical relationship with partners and mentors a team of developers.

The annual salary range for this position is $112,000.00-$192,000.00
Additional compensation includes annual or quarterly performance incentives.
Additional compensation for certain positions may also include:
– Regional Pay Zone (RPZ) (based on location)
– Stock equity incentives
