Start Up Team Associate – GWorks Co-Founder Team – Golden Valley, MN

OVERVIEW

The Co-Founder Team Associate is a part of the G-works organization, which is an internal start up accelerator that discovers and builds new business in high growth spaces. G-works employees work in ways that are not “business as usual,” challenging themselves and each other, using entrepreneurial skills and an experimental mindset to get to the commercial truth about disruptive market opportunities. This will be a very fast-paced test and learn environment, with rapid experimentation to validate or invalidate assumptions.

Associates work closely in a 4-member pod (Innovation coach, digital strategist, and entrepreneur-in-residence) to support the efforts of co-founder teams during their first year as they identify a consumer problem to solve and develop the solution to meet the consumers need. They work in collaboration with the innovation coach to design, develop, and execute experiments that enable co-founder teams to collect evidence to show they have identified a solution and business in which to build and invest.

The Associates also lead the project management tasks of the co-founder teams and assist with tracking, managing, and executing strategies and experiments. Seeking someone who is highly collaborative and passionate, willing to learn and apply lean, agile, and design thinking principles, and interested in creating structure in an ambiguous environment.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Lead executional project management tasks including timeline management, key experimentation tracking, budget management and tracking, and facilitating team meetings
  • Execute evidence-based learning, from writing screeners, recruiting consumers, and directing logistics of customer research, and tracking and documentation of outcomes
  • Support requests of the co-founder team to pull data from platforms including Pitchbook, Nielsen, and more, to ensure full team has performance data/summaries; also helps to gleans implications from data and reports
  • Navigates the GWorks organization, the internal team (Experimentation Lab), and other internal and external partners to secure people and their time to advance co-founders’ timelines
  • Actively participate in team meetings (daily stands up, weekly working sessions, research debriefs, pivot sessions, etc.)
  • Partner with innovation coach to proactively plan future steps and experiments for the team; the goal of the pod is to always be 3 steps ahead of the co-founder team
  • Other tasks as needed

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Marketing, Entrepreneurship or other related fields
  • 2+ years of relevant experience in project coordination, project management or related experiences
  • Highly motivated and action-oriented with strong problem solving and analytical skills
  • Strong project management and organizational skills with strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Consumer-first mindset and experience

  • Track record of delivering on timeline while managing multiple projects with executional excellence

Salary Range

The salary range for this position is $62300.00 – $93600.00 / Annually. At General Mills we strive for each employee’s pay at any point in their career to reflect their experiences performance and skills for their current role. The salary range for this role represents the numerous factors considered in the hiring decisions including, but not limited to, educations, skills, work experience, certifictions, etc. As such, pay for the succesful candidate(s) could fall anywhere within the stated range.
