At the Ohio Office of Budget and Management, it is our mission to provide policy analysis, fiscal research and financial management services to the Governor and agencies of state government, helping to ensure the proper and responsible use of state resources.
As a cabinet-level agency within the executive branch of state government, OBM develops, coordinates and monitors the individual budgets of state agencies and reviews all financial transactions made with public funds

OBM is seeking an experienced State Accounting Financial Analyst 2 to assist with the controlling board requests, reversal vouchers, waivers and other accounting duties. Responsibilities for this motivated professional include:
- Analyzing, researching, and evaluating state agency financial transactions:
- Process controlling board requests.
- Researches customer inquiries and assists agencies with problem resolution.
- Researches, analyzes, and recommends the proper fields and/or documents required for review of vouchers & waivers.
- Evaluates ISTVs for deletion.
- Process cash transfer journals.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external customers.
- Maintains data in the Ohio Administrative Knowledge System (OAKS).
- Assists with development of procedural documentation.
2. Performs additional administrative tasks as assigned.

Teleworking:
Subject to OBM’s teleworking policy and an approved teleworking agreement, this position is eligible to work from a remote location on a hybrid basis. The selected applicant may be required to complete initial trainings prior to being eligible to telework. All requests to telework are reviewed on a case-by-case basis and must be approved by OBM’s Director of Human Resources and management, subject to the conditions outlined in the agency policy and teleworking agreement.
Qualifications
Completion of undergraduate core program in accounting, business administration, finance or related field.
-Or 12 months experience as State Accounting Financial Analyst 1, 62211.
-Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.
