Variable-Hour employees are ‘At-Will’ and their employment is not contractually ensured. Variable-Hour employees are required to establish and contribute to a Colorado Public Employees Retirement Account and they will not contribute to Social Security under this classification. Variable-hour employees are permitted to work only 28 hours per week at schedules defined by their supervisors.
Description of Position
Tutor students in subjects related to STEM Pathways
- Tutor students to solve specific problems
- Provide students with activities and constructive feedback
- Help clarify and review concepts taught in class
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Demonstrated organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Strong comfort level with people from a variety of backgrounds, as well as a willingness to expand knowledge and skills related to inclusion and diversity
- Ability to convey complicated and/or controversial information in a respectful and clear manner
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering an inclusive working and learning environment
- Work independently and exercise good judgment
- Ability to work with students and employers professionally
- Experience with Microsoft Office software
- Familiarity/experience with Office 365 products
