Manager, Executional Planning

Primary Purpose of the Position

The Customer Fulfilment Executional Planning Team is responsible for creating an optimized and executable plan for the horizon covering the next 0-3 months, which maximizes service and minimizes cost. This role leads the planning actives that take place in Standard Cans, Specialty Cans and Ends, across the entirety of the NCA business. It oversees the supply planning and forward looking inventory planning done by a group of managers and planners.

Essential Responsible Areas:

  • Manages a team of Planning Managers responsible for 0-12 week horizons.
  • Responsible for ensuring coordinated and conjoined in year plans across the BPNCA can or end portfolio, covering all sub-regions and plants and all customers
  • Drive continuous improvement projects and deliver on ad-hoc initiatives based on the requirements of the business.
  • Deliver plans that are executable and aligned cross functionally between operations, regional CF teams, commercial, quality, logistics, sourcing and any other function required to ensure good plans
  • Manages the development of inventory plans that optimize manufacturing efficiency, operational capacity, warehouse capacity and customer stocking strategies.
  • Partners with the IBP Planning teams to ensure that executional strategies for production and inventory deployment are coordinated with the mid/long term planning goals.
  • Manages the generation of the material requirements based on customer demand and ensures that Sourcing has the necessary information to ensure continuous and efficient manufacturing operations.
  • Works with the IT function to improve the current planning tool suite to better meet the needs of a growth business with increasing complexity in terms of customer requirements, manufacturing capabilities and product offerings.
  • Responsible for the implementation and continuous improvement of planning processes that encompass near and mid term inventory deployment plans and synchronized production scheduling that enables BPNCA to meet customer demand while controlling costs
  • Works with the Global and Regional Key Account Management teams to ensure that executional priorities are aligned with Commercial and Customer expectations.
  • Execute and drive team to deliver against the functional strategy and objectives
  • Implement the OSP/optimized supply plan for the manufacturing footprint in normal planning processes and support structured adherence and future creation of new plans
  • Deliver and ensure team delivers to KPIs set by IBP/CF
  • Implement sustainability programs into planning parameters as developed by cross functional teams
  • Develop and keep relevant ready to go Disaster Recovery plans for planning
  • Integrate CF 0-12 week planning seamlessly with 3-12 month IBP planning horizons, post integration maintain connective processes to ensure alignment
  • Develops skills and abilities of team members through leadership, structured performance management, and personal development planning, to contribute to the overall succession plan and engagement of employees
  • Deliver a plan, via the team, that enables optimized scheduling in plants and best in class manufacturing performance

Position Requirement & Competencies:

  • Broad training in a related field usually acquired through college or work-related experience
  • Job related experience for 5+ year(s) minimum
  • Prior experience using Oracle VCP and JDE a plus
  • Prior experience leading a planning team
  • Deep experience in Planning and Supply Chain
  • Presentation skills and ability to prioritize and react quickly
  • Prior experience in consumer packaging or beverage distribution a plus
  • The candidate must have working knowledge of supply chain practices, be customer focused, and make decisions based upon analytics
  • Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Compensation & Benefits

  • Hiring Salary Range: $103,000-$150,000 (Salary to be determined by the applicant’s education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data.)
  • This role will be eligible to participate in the annual incentive compensation plan.
