This includes considering factors such as surface runoff, stormwater management, and flood control.
- Bridge Hydraulic Studies: Conduct bridge hydraulic studies to analyze the impact of water flow on bridges and ensure their structural integrity. This involves assessing factors like water velocity, water depth, and potential scouring around bridge piers.
- Culvert Design: Design and size culverts, which are structures that allow water to pass beneath roadways. This involves considering factors such as water flow rates, pipe material, and site conditions.
- Closed Drainage System Design: Design closed drainage systems, which collect and convey stormwater through underground pipes and channels. This includes designing catch basins, inlets, pipes, and other components of the drainage system.
- Post Construction Water Quality Structures Design: Design structures that improve water quality by treating stormwater runoff before it is discharged into natural water bodies. This may involve designing stormwater ponds, bio-retention basins, or other treatment measures.
- Erosion and Sedimentation Control: Design erosion and sedimentation control measures to minimize the impact of construction activities on the surrounding environment. This includes designing and implementing erosion control practices, such as sediment barriers, silt fences, and revegetation plans.
