Strategic Enrollment Marketing Manager

Overview

The Strategic Enrollment Marketing Manager (Marketer II) position strategically develops and manages enrollment management marketing plans and projects for assigned Utah State University Statewide Campuses with the express purpose of generating and nurturing prospective student leads. Client responsibilities for this position include the USU Uintah Basin, USU Southwest, and College/Department programmatic support. Additional marketing plans and projects will include retention, persistence, and completion campaigns supporting the SC and USU strategic plan. This position develops marketing plans and projects from conception to post-completion evaluation while collaborating with University Marketing and Communications (UMAC) and their assigned clients. The position reports directly to the Director of Marketing and Communications for Statewide Campuses.

This position is to be based in the Uintah Basin (Roosevelt or Vernal) or Southwest region. Hybrid telework eligible. Must reside in either the Uintah Basin (Vernal or Roosevelt) or Southwest Region (Beaver, Bicknell, Cedar City, Delta, Ephraim, Junction, Kanab, Nephi, Panguitch, Richfield, St. George).

Responsibilities

Marketing Strategy/Project Management:

  • Developing an understanding of the competitive marketplace in which each campus client operates and determining specific marketing/communications needs through market analysis and collaboration with campus leadership.
  • Creating annual recruitment marketing and communications plans that leverage UMAC’s resources targeting key points of the funnel and conversion opportunities; includes the understanding of costs and managing budgets for plans.
  • Proactively reviewing data and analytics to strategically identify opportunities and reporting to campus clients on engagement, conversion & ROI metrics; conducting quarterly internal/external research projects to develop audience and segmentation strategies and tactics.
  • Providing strategic and comprehensive direction to creative teams (UMAC) and facilitating support from different units (Admissions) through workflow management system.

Digital/Web:

  • Proactively maintaining websites, campaign landing pages and digital channels. Conducting quarterly audits, proactively analyzing data, adjusting content, evaluating new trends and reporting while adjusting strategies and tactics.
  • Conducting, managing, evaluating and optimizing digital recruitment marketing campaigns – paid and unpaid – via social media, Internet search and other digital channels while aligning with UMAC’s Digital Strategy team for cohesive institutional messaging.

Admission Recruitment MarCom:

  • Overseeing all electronic communication strategies, flows and digital platforms including CRM communications, texting, and other areas and platforms for assigned campuses.
  • Responsible for the conceptualization, creation, execution, and evaluation of communication plans for campuses and within USU’s system. Project oversight includes attention to detail, timeliness, and effectiveness of segmented communications plans.

Content Production:

  • Utilizing UMAC resources to create enrollment marketing content focused on generating prospective student leads and aligned with Statewide Campus marketing, recruiting, and strategic plans. Examples of content include posters, brochures, videos, imaging, news releases, magazine stories, social media posts, etc.
  • Managing the visual branding and identity of campus events (open houses, on-campus events, campus tours) including print, digital, signage, etc., to ensure it is an aligned, cohesive USU brand presentation.
  • Executing media strategies and overseeing editorial (video and written) content for distribution through internal (newsletter, Utah State Today, Utah State Magazine) and external channels (social media, local news publications).

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations with 2 years of marketing experience OR an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Experience working with Microsoft Office, CRM, Google/Meta Ad Manager, Canva, project management, and other marcom software tools
  • Must have flexible work schedule for projects that go beyond 8-5

Advertised Salary
