Strategic Initiative Manager- Enterprise Programs

IAT Insurance Group has an immediate opening for an experienced Enterprise Program Manager who will be involved in the end-to-end conceptualization, cost/benefit analysis, project approval process, risk identification & mitigation, initiation, planning, budget, scheduling, monitoring, controlling, communication, change management and implementation of one or more strategic projects.

This role will initially be responsible for the program and project management across multiple work projects and associated streams and may have dotted-line accountability to assigned business unit(s). The ideal candidate with of deep experience leading large, complex IT efforts. P&C Insurance experience preferred.

This role works a hybrid schedule out of any IAT office. Occasional travel is required. This role will be required to work from the office Monday through Wednesday with the option of working remotely Thursday and Friday.

Responsibilities:

  • Works on one or many programs where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors. Partners with the business to understand their goals and objectives and facilitates the solutioning process with other team members. Exercises judgment in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Manages all aspects of a strategic initiative including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring, controlling, and closing. Ensures that the project deliverables are on time, within budget and at the required level of quality.
  • Program manage key activities that contribute long-term operational excellence, ensuring key projects have clear milestones, success measures, and operational plans.
  • Drive operational effectiveness by aligning objectives, key results, ideation, and process development throughout a people, process, and technology lifecycle.
  • Interface with various business units to understand and document business requirements, while providing reporting output.
  • Provide clear, concise, transparent, and insightful communication to the team, Executives, and a diverse set of internal stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with stakeholder organizations to ensure solutions are aligned with corresponding support models and business adoption/operational readiness plans.
  • Determines the resources (time, money, equipment, etc.) required to complete the project. Manages all project funds according to established accounting policies and procedures.
  • Develops and monitors the project CBA.
  • Formulating, organizing, and monitoring inter-connected projects.
  • Deciding on suitable strategies and objectives.
  • Creates a detailed work plan that identifies and sequences the activities needed to successfully complete the project. Develops a schedule for project completion that effectively allocates the resources to the activities. Executes the project according to the project plan.
  • All project management artifacts and deliverables that are appropriate for a project of this scope and complexity.
  • Identifying and mitigating project risks throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Set project goals and milestones in conjunction with project leadership.
  • Other job-related duties as required.

Qualifications
Must have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in project and program management, including leading project teams preferably in commercial insurance or the equivalent.
  • Equivalent is 14+ years of experience in project and program management, including leading project teams preferably in commercial insurance
  • Excellent project management skills (i.e. usage of project planning tools, risk identification and mitigation processes, tracking all aspects of the project, proven expertise with the tools of the trade from concept to full implementation)
  • Advanced knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with RFPs, RFIs, vendor selection and vendor management
  • Experience with change management, business transformation, system migration, related planning and implementation of the same
  • Expertise in selecting methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to tailor approach based upon audience and message and ability to hold candid discussions with executives
  • To qualify, applicants must be authorized to work in the United States and must not require VISA sponsorship, now or in the future, for employment purposes.

Preferred to have:

  • Experience with claims or policy processes

Please note, the annual gross salary range associated with this posting is $72,000 – $160,000. This range represents the anticipated low and high end of the base salary for this position. The total compensation will include a base salary, performance-based bonus opportunities, 401(K) match, profit sharing opportunities and more. Actual salary will vary based on various factors which may include specific experience and location
