Job Summary
About the team: We partner with Product Management, Sales, GTM Strategy, Marketing and other cross-functional teams to identify and solve the biggest challenges for NetApp. We provide strategic insights and actionable recommendations combining comprehensive outside-in and inside-out analysis with advanced data analytics. In all our projects, we strive to build a deep understanding of customer needs, market landscape, competitive dynamics and differentiated NetApp value drivers to arrive at optimal Product Strategy and GTM recommendations.
How we work
We collaborate with General Managers to identify and prioritize Business Unit challenges. For selected challenges, we kick off by aligning on project scope, objectives, timelines, cross-functional stakeholders, meeting cadence etc. Project execution is often beyond the reach of descriptive analysis and involves consultative engagement with internal and external SMEs. We focus on what the data tells us qualitatively/quantitatively, how well we can predict future state, and how to turn insights into actions having tangible results. We socialize project insights and recommendations with senior leaders through skillful storytelling.
Job Responsibilities
- Share deep insights with senior leaders that reveal strategic opportunities for product portfolio growth, margin improvement, and annual plan execution
- Refine go-to-market initiatives based on comprehensive outside-in (market, competitive etc.) and inside-out (customer install base, strategic priorities etc.) analysis
- Help build the annual growth plan for the General Managers
- Assess market trends and evaluate disruptive technologies in Storage industry for both on-premises and cloud business
- Perform comparative analysis and benchmark NetApp against competitors. Review product features/data sheets to build feature parity analysis
- Provide mentorship to the team to support their professional growth
Job Requirements
- 6+ years of experience in Business Strategy or Management Consulting
- Collaborative personality – ability to influence, cultivate and drive successful partnerships with other internal business functions (i.e., Sales, Marketing, Engineering, and Services)
- Experience in partnering with senior leaders to define and drive business strategy
- Excellent storytelling and presentation skills
- Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills. Tableau or PowerBI skills
- Ability to prioritize and be adaptable/flexible to change
- Familiarity with Tech industry preferred
- Program management experience, a plus
Education
MBA or Master’s degree in Business Strategy, Corporate Strategy, Finance (or related).

The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is [$133,800] – [$179,300]. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Paid Time off (PTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws, Company bonus/commission, employee stock purchase plan, and/or restricted stocks (RSU’s).
