NNSA Requirements for MedPEDs
If you have a Medical Portable Electronic Device (MedPED), such as a pacemaker, defibrillator, drug-releasing pump, hearing aids, or diagnostic equipment and other equipment for measuring, monitoring, and recording body functions such as heartbeat and brain waves, if employed by Sandia National Laboratories you may be required to comply with NNSA security requirements for MedPEDs.
If you have a MedPED and you are selected for an on-site interview at Sandia National Laboratories, there may be additional steps necessary to ensure compliance with NNSA security requirements prior to the interview date.
Salary Range
$65,300 – $146,200
*Salary range is estimated, and actual salary will be determined after consideration of the selected candidate’s experience and qualifications, and application of any approved geographic salary differential.
What Your Job Will Be Like
Are you highly motivated individual looking to join a dynamic team? If so, Sandia’s Integrated Space Solutions team is looking for a dedicated Strategic Space Planner to join our team!
The selected applicant will apply technical expertise to evaluate the capability of existing sites, facilities, and infrastructure to meet mission needs. We partner with IT development teams working across enterprise-scale asset and facilities portfolio management systems to develop and maintain product roadmaps, project requirements, and support with administration and management of our space asset database. We lead scoping, scheduling, and prioritization of projects across all of Sandia’s campuses, hubs, and annexes.
On any given day, you may be called on to:
- Work with peers in the space management team to develop an understanding of space management policy, roles, process flows, and definitions with an emphasis on data quality assurance, database management, and administration of space data systems of record.
- Organize a large volume of space planning data and translate results into usable metrics and graphics to aid in decision making.
- Develop and maintain Lab-level data analyses and strategic performance metrics for optimizing utilization and continuous balancing of facilities space assets.
- Coordinate with domain expert and data stewards across the Facilities Division and the Lab to coordinate in- and out-bound database connections, to document dataset assumptions, and to facilitate periodic and ad-hoc reporting of Lab-level data
- Steward the development and execution of integrated strategic plans and investment strategies for the Laboratories facility footprint, including consideration of major moves, renovations, co-location, consolidation, leasing and new construction activities.
- Collaborate with other Strategic Planners to supervise and align footprint management strategies, plans with mission priorities, and corporate long-range development plans.
- Partner with Facilities Projects and Operations Teams to implement space strategies, plans and projects to ensure corporate space guidelines, policies and procedures are in alignment with the Lab-level footprint management strategies.
This position is eligible for telecommuting and the selected applicant must live within a reasonable distance for commuting to the assigned work location when necessary
Qualifications We Require
- Bachelor’s degree Architecture, Facility/Property Management, or Urban/Regional Planning, Engineering, Project Management, Economics, Ecology, human factors; or equivalent combination of education and experience (Associates +4, no degree +8)
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q-level security clearance.
Qualifications We Desire
- Knowledge of Integrated Workplace Management Systems (IWMS) and/or Enterprise Asset Management Systems (EAMS), e.g. IBM Tririga, IBM Maximo, Archibus, or others.
- Experience with operational systems analysis, data transformation, data synthesis, and principles of data quality management such as “single source of truth.”
- Knowledge of facilities and infrastructure lifecycle dynamics from long-range capital planning to construction, occupancy, and operational/maintenance considerations.
- Experience with Microsoft Excel, Power Query, Power BI, and SharePoint
- Excellent graphical communications skills including design and development of data analytics dashboards or graphical data reports.
- Familiar with fundamentals of data science, including the identification of known sources of error and ability to create insights from multiple sources of data.
- Ability to understand and interpret architectural drawings and schematics.
- Ability to generate clear professional-quality graphical floor plan diagrams representing supply and demand elements of building space occupancy plans.
- Ability to account for a broad array of investment and operational inputs and their effects on specific facilities investment opportunities.
- Possess a strong dedication to positive teaming dynamic, strong written and verbal skills
- Active DOE/DOD clearance.
