As part of the Enterprise Data Strategy, Data Strategists are responsible for making PepsiCo’s strategic vision real by conceiving, initiating, and shepherding high-priority data projects. This is an intensely collaborative position, requiring close interaction with business leaders, data practitioners, strategic leaders in Data & Analytics, external partners, external vendors, and more.
The successful candidate will have deep knowledge of data and analytics, and a proven ability to work with others on complex projects.
Responsibilities
- Support build and lead the roll-out of enterprise data strategy roadmaps, creating timelines and rollout plans for execution
- Communicate our enterprise data strategy to/with stakeholders, internal and external, and track progress towards key milestones; share and communicate in the standing Data Forums and Councils
- Develop, define, and execute strategic guidance on processes, tools, and policies, ensuring simplified data capture and availability to the business decision-makers, and partner with our technical organizations to drive enterprise data strategy, its capabilities and connection to other parts of the Enterprise
- Contribute to the knowledge management capability around enterprise data, ensuring appropriate documentation and key frameworks/approaches are shared and available for fast leverage
- Coordinate efforts with internal teams, including D+A partners, S+T partners, IT, business and function leaders, etc. to keep strategic projects on track
- Oversee strategy execution by managing and/or redirecting analysts, strategists, engineers, etc.
- Stay informed about the needs and challenges of leaders and practitioners regarding data, and consult with Data + Analytics senior leadership to adjust project prioritization and PepsiCo’s strategic data vision and roadmaps
- Encourage and drive adoption of data products by identifying impediments and working with the Culture and Education Managers to improve internal client experience
- Team management, objectives setting, employee development and mentoring and fostering good team culture
Compensation and Benefits:
- The expected compensation range for this position is between $125,000 – $ 217,500 based on a full-time schedule
- Location, confirmed job-related skills and experience will be considered in setting actual starting salary
- Bonus based on performance and eligibility; target payout is 12% of annual salary paid out annually.
- Paid time off subject to eligibility, including paid parental leave, vacation, sick, and bereavement

Qualifications
Qualifications:
- 7-10 years working in data-driven business functions
- 3-6 years’ direct experience in data strategy and/or managing data practitioners (analysts, scientists, developers, UX, etc.)
- Bachelor’s Degree required
- Experience in consulting or previously on an enterprise data strategy team at a large company strongly preferred
- Master’s degree optional
Skills, Abilities, Knowledge:
- Very strong program and time management skills
- Excellent communication and diplomacy skills, and comfort presenting to senior leaders
- Deep knowledge of data and data applications for CPG, preferred
- Working knowledge of common data science capabilities and techniques
- Demonstrated excellence in people management
