Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the Dean’s Sr. Administrative Assistant of Wilkinson College of Art, Humanities and Social Science the student assistant will provide office support for the general, day-to-day administrative, operational, and clerical tasks related to the office.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to a professional, helpful, welcoming atmosphere and a positive attitude for faculty, staff, students, families, callers and visitors of the Dean’s Suite of Wilkinson College of Art, Humanities and Social Science
- Provide coverage for the front desk including answering phones, transfer calls, take messages, sort mail, file photocopy, scan documents, proof reports, digitize documents, and data entry.
- Maintain office inventory.
- Provide support for variety of college events including but limited to Discover Chapman and Preview Day.
- Support Dean’s office staff with various short- and long-term projects.
- Other duties as assigned.

- Professional, dependable, organized, able to multi-task, ability to collaborate.
- Excellent project management skills to consistently meet deadlines.
- Able to effectively handle confidential and proprietary information.
- Effectively communicate in a professional, diplomatic, empathetic, and tactful manner using preferred method and level as applicable to the job.
- Proven accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficient level of knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or relevant position software programs.
- Team Orientation & Interpersonal – highly motivated team player with ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with all levels within and external to the Dean’s staff.
