Position Summary Information
Job Description Summary
Under the direction of the dean of Wilkinson College of Art, Humanities and Social Science, the student newsletter editor will support and promote a positive image of the college by collecting a variety of news, feature articles and visuals to create the weekly and monthly newsletter.
Responsibilities
• Research, collect, and develop stories and images for weekly and monthly newsletter.
• Collaborate with dean’s office to brainstorm new stories, series, concepts, themes, and formats as needed.
• Compile articles, stories and visuals following a detailed style guide ensuring consistency and accuracy while meeting deadlines.
• Submit all newsletters to the dean for final approval and make necessary edits.
• Develop and maintain production process including content calendar to ensure newsletters are published on time.
• Adhere to and maintain templates and style sheets for the Dean’s communication.
• Performs other duties as assigned

• Ability to proofread documents for errors in composition, spelling, grammar, and format.
• Exceptional writing, visual and communication skills
• Ability to learn and adhere to university brand standards and divisional marketing practices.
