Summary
The Student Records and Customer Service Associate is responsible for intake and data entry of enrollment documentation and provides excellent customer service to prospective and current students, faculty, and staff. Additionally, in regard to customer service, this position also serves as a triage for the Division of Student Services and Enrollment Management. As needed, the Student Records and Customer Service Associate position will participate in college recruitment events in Moore and Hoke Counties as well as support College Navigators during peak enrollment periods. All aspects of this position are critical to the college’s overall helpfulness and enrollment strategies.
Essential Functions
- Assist and direct prospective and current students with the highest level of holistic customer service in person, electronically, and via telephone
- Manage intake, processing, and data entry of enrollment documentation including high school and college transcripts, change of name and address requests, graduation applications, and daily departmental mail
- Assist with scanning, indexing, filing, and maintenance of student records within the Etrieve platform
- Process official test score reports from testing agencies
- Provide assistance with accessing online services (i.e., Self-Service, Eforms, transcript orders) to include processing in-person transcript requests
- Assist in the development of Records and Registration processes and correspondence
- Support the department of Records and Registration to ensure accuracy of reported data
- Have knowledge of curriculum and continuing education program offerings to assist prospective students with customer service
- Understand and communicate as needed minimum SCC graduation requirements to students, faculty, and staff
- Serve as a member of the college’s enrollment team by participating in recruitment events as needed
- Support the College Navigators by managing new student caseloads during peak periods as needed
- Other duties as assigned by the Vice President of Student Services and Enrollment Management
Qualifications
- Associates degree
- Experience working with students in a higher education setting preferred
- Experience working with student or personnel records preferred
- Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Excellent computer and interpersonal relationship skills
- Ability to handle multiple tasks under pressure and work flexible schedule to include non-traditional hours
- Ability to work effectively with faculty, staff (co-workers), and students
- Demonstrated comparable knowledge, skills and experience acceptable for the higher education environment
