General Description
The Student Services Coordinator for the Regional Office of Education will develop, coordinate, and implement student service programs, including the assignment of projects and tasks to staff and the supervision of projects and program activities. They will also direct the daily operations of student services programs, develop reports, and implement program policies according to regulations.

Essential Functions
- Coordinate and facilitate services provided to students.
- Assist with mental health, trauma informed initiatives.
- Provide services that support and enhance the education of the whole person.
- Works with departmental staff to resolve student, staff and/or parent problems.
- Engages in relevant curriculum planning and development.
- Maintains administrative records; prepares reports and correspondence.
- Participates in activities for continued professional growth.
Knowledge Skills Abilities and Education Required
- Ability to make administrative/procedural decisions and judgments.
- Organizing and coordinating skills.
- Ability to perform complex tasks and to prioritize multiple projects.
- Records maintenance skills.
Education and/or Other Requirements:
Illinois Public Educator License (PEL) Required
- Undergrad degree in special education preferred, or a related services field (school psychology, school social work, etc.)
- One to three years of related experience preferred.
- Special Education Endorsement preferred.
- Supervisory and/or leadership experience managing building level programming, parent concerns and student discipline.
Supplemental Information
- Requires mainly office work, involving standing or walking some of the time, exerting up to 10 pounds of force on a regular basis, and high dexterity in operating office equipment, including a keyboard, phone, copier, etc. *
- The position requires normal visual acuity and field of vision and the ability to hear and speak to understand, respond to and build relationships with a diverse clientele.
