JOB SUMMARY

The Shipping Receiving Clerk’s main job function will be coordinating truck traffic at the Livermore facility and acting as a first point of contact to the freight and bulk truck drivers. Assists production in moving materials in and out of dock doors using a hostler truck as needed. In addition to truck traffic coordination position, this person will be trained to support production start-up at the beginning of the week and shut down at the end of the week.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Drive hostler truck when needed to move materials in and out for production needs
  • Coordinate truck traffic
  • Generate BOLs for finished goods trucks
  • Responsible for loading pallets and dunnage material returns for glass vendors
  • Support warehouse movements and cleanliness

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must be 18 years or older at time of hire
  • Must have a well-developed attention to detail, including ability to keep accurate records
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Possess the ability to learn / develop computer skills – Microsoft Word, JDE, Outlook, and Excel
  • Display integrity, character, and strong leadership skills
  • Must be able to work overtime and any shift
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Successfully pass all testing requirements
  • Maintain excellent attendance and safety record
  • Upon assignment, the Company may require First Aid, CPR, AED, Emergency Responder and/or other certifications as necessary
  • Support and model all company procedures and policies
  • Must embrace and demonstrate The Wine Group Core Values – Performance, Empowered and Cost-mindful, and keep them in mind when making all decisions

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • Ability to drive hostler truck with 53′ trailers is tight areas
  • Ability to manage BOL paperwork and truck movements at JIT facility
  • Ability to operate various types of machinery to include, but not limited to, hostler truck, lift trucks, dump trucks, pallet jacks, hand trucks, etc.
  • Must be able to repeatedly lift and carry weights of up to 50 pounds at varying frequencies
  • Possess the ability to work in a fast-paced environment under pressure
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, standing, and twisting in the production environment
