We are searching for a Sub Driver Trainee to join our team.
This is a paid training program to assist those looking to obtain a Commercial Driver’s License! Come work with our certified team to get your CDL – we will help prepare you for the written test to obtain a permit and provide you with the tools and resources for your road test to turn that permit into a license.
During the training period, we offer flexible scheduling for Monday through Friday, working between 20 and 25 hours per week – no weekends or major holidays! Once you have a valid CDL, you can move up to a full time Driver, which now offers newly enhanced rates, quarterly incentives and bonus programs, and uniforms.
This position provides assistance to transport individuals with developmental disabilities by operating safely and courteously, various types of vans and buses through heavy or light city and highway traffic, in all conditions and following all rules and regulations.
Requirements:
- Ability to follow directions, communicate, perform simple math functions and knows basic weights and measures
- Valid NYS Class D License – Ability to train and pass CDL Permit and License (B or C)
- At least 5 years of active driving experience required
- Must be at least 21 years old and be able to lift a minimum of 50 pounds
- Must be available to work out of Albany and Niskayuna locations
The compensation for this position is a fixed rate of $18.00 an hour.
