Description

JOB SCOPE: Under the supervision of the Clinic Director, the Supervisor of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Services supports the oversight of the Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Services, providing direct clinical and administrative oversight to all the members of his/her team. The Supervisor of Substance Abuse Prevention and Treatment Services supports daily operations, including oversight of service delivery, timely completion of paperwork, quality assurance, and program evaluation including ensuring the programs meet all internal and external regulatory standards and requirements.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Provides direct supervision to the clinicians & peer specialists.
  • Provides leadership to all levels of staff on areas of service provision and compliance.
  • With the Clinic Director ,oversees recruitment, hiring and training as needed. Evaluates training needs and coordinates using internal and external resources as appropriate to ensure staff has the skills necessary to meet expectations. Monitors and evaluates staff performance.
  • With the Clinic Director, collaboratively establishes performance standards and metrics for all levels of staff.
  • Interpret and articulates agency and program mission, policies, practices and procedures for staff.
  • In conjunction with the Clinic Director, develops, implements and updates policies and procedures in accordance with regulatory requirements and agency practice.
  • Responsible for overall program compliance with regulatory standards.
  • In conjunction with the with the Clinic Director, conducts audit preparation, coordinates program audits and serves as liaison to external regulatory/funders.
  • Participates in the Agency-wide Incident Review Committee as needed and oversees the reporting of all required reports.
  • Represents PCMH at local and state meetings as required.
  • Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Clinic Director.

Salary: $65,000 Annually

Scheduled Shift: Monday-Friday 9AM to 5PM

Qualifications

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

  • CASAC required
  • Three years of professional experience, including full-time line management and/or supervisory experience.

KNOWLEDGE:

  • Basic computer skills; Internet Search, Microsoft Office, OASAS reporting system.
  • Strong knowledge of Substance Abuse Treatment Modalities.
  • Strong knowledge of Harm Reduction.

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

  • A hands-on management style and the ability to address and solve problems as they arise.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Administrative and clinical supervision skills.
  • Ability to foster a team approach.
