Overview:
At WVPA, all substation designs are outsourced through desing consultants. As the substation engineer, you will review consultant designs, make changes where they need to be made, and present final designs to the memebers of the co-op.
Day to Day:
* Partner with substation team comprised of a t line engineer, p&c engineer and drafter, overseen by the substation supervisor
* Review and edit consultant designs
* Work with co-op members, presenting important desing information or planning design process
* Learning from substation supervisor
* Eventually managing projects
Required Skills & Experience
Must Haves:
* 3-5+ years’ experience in substation design and engineering.
* Ability or desire to acquire PE license.
* Experience working with clients and presenting information
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Plusses
* Preferred bachelor’s or associate in civil, electrical, or mechanical engineering
