We are seeking a Legal Intern to join our team and help us achieve our ambitious goals for our business and the planet. As a Legal Intern, you’ll work with our Legal team on various focused projects in which you’ll learn valuable skills while contributing to our mission of motivating and enabling people to save energy. You’ll work directly with the Legal team who will show you the ropes of the business and provide you with the opportunity to contribute your ideas towards enhancing and improving our legal processes.
What you get to do:
- Draft and review contracts, including nondisclosure agreements, amendments, renewals, order forms, and statements of work for vendors and customers
- Assist with communicating with vendors, collecting necessary documentation, and vendor onboarding
- Attend meetings with stakeholders to discuss contract terms and conditions
- Assist with legal administrative tasks, such as organizing and maintaining contract files and documents, facilitating contract signatures, and archiving agreements
- Respond to routine questions from the business about executed contracts
- Perform other duties as assigned by the legal team
What you bring to Uplight:
- Recent graduate with demonstrated interest in legal, procurement, or contracts management fields
- Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
- Ability to communicate professionally and maintain confidentiality
- Self-motivated with the ability to execute on projects when given direction – you’re motivated and will do research and ask questions to keep projects moving
- An appetite for learning, creative problem solving, and the ability to maintain flexibility

Hourly Range: $18-$20 per hour
In accordance with the Colorado Equal Pay for Equal Work Act, the approximate annual base compensation range is listed above. The actual offer, reflecting the total compensation package and benefits, will be determined by a number of factors including the applicant’s experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity among our team.
