ECC is seeking a Site Superintendent that can dual hat as a Quality Control supervisor in Pensacola, FL. Local candidates highly desired. This position is primarily responsible for the implementation of field related policies, programs, and practices that support and advance the Company’s long-term business objectives. Local candidates are preferred. In this position you will:
- Coordinate with the Project Engineer, Health and Safety Officer, and Quality Control Officer for interaction of task prioritization
- Compliance with health and safety and quality control requirements as identified by functional officers
- Assist and lead field sampling teams in achieving task requirements
- Key implementers of field activities and tasks preparatory to field activities
- Assist in identifying and performing general labor tasks to achieve project objectives under the direction of the Project Manager
- Contribute methods of approach and identify solutions to logistical or operational challenges during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operations
- Assist in identifying task-specific equipment to achieve the objectives of a task. When appropriate, operate the equipment as needed during mobilization, sampling, surveying, deconning, and general field operation
- Assume the role of sample team lead to assist the quality control officer and health and safety officer in maintaining compliance with project work plans, standard operating procedures, and sound field practices while achieving project objectives
- Coordinate with the project chemist, project engineer, and project geologist to prioritize field activities and identify task assignments.
- Ensure implementation of the Three-Phase Control Process in accordance with Company standards and contract requirements
- In addition to the accountabilities above, other responsibilities, tasks, and deliverables may be assigned to the incumbent of this position
Requirements
- Proven ability to implement programs to address complex needs and problems
- Ability to coordinate with staff on various task assignments and field activities
- Knowledge of federal contracting regulations and requirements
- Two to seven years of progressively responsible experience on environmental or construction projects
- Knowledge of scheduling and budgeting for large construction projects
- Skilled in setting up quality control testing equipment
- Education – This position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, Construction Management or related field required. Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted for this requirement.
Preferred Qualifications
- Applicable certification in Quality
- USACE Contractor Quality Management (CQM) training
- Knowledge of USACE Resident Management System (RMS)
- HAZWOPER 40 Hour Certification and 8 Hour Refresher Certification
- HAZWOPER Supervisor Certification
- OSHA 30 Hour Construction Certification
- Familiarity with workplace health and safety concepts
ECC targeted base salary range for the Pensacola, FL area is $80,949 to $129,868 annually.
Actual salary offered may be affected by education, training, certifications, experience, skills, level of responsibility, and location.
