Summary
The Supervisor, Accounting I & Tax position will oversee and coordinate the daily operations of the Accounting I Team. The responsibilities include analyzing financial statements to ensure accuracy, supervising the preparation of month-end closing, and training staff and/or Senior Accountants. Lastly, this position will be responsible for fulfilling HQ’s needs by providing requested and/or ad hoc data and reports.
Responsibilities
- Primary
- Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional growth and development
- Assign tasks, set priorities, and ensure the timely completion of deliverables
- Manage the month-end close schedule and oversee the timely completion of month-end closing activities
- Coordinate with the team to ensure adherence to the monthly close schedule and meet reporting deadlines
- Ensure accurate application of US GAAP and IFRS principles and proper presentation of financial information
- Analyze variances and fluctuations in financial data and manage open balances of balance sheet accounts
- Investigate discrepancies, resolve issues, and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial information
- Provide troubleshooting assistance and training to team members as necessary
- Coordinate and guide the work of staff to maintain efficiency and effectiveness in accounting operations
- Provide leadership in conducting research and analysis on various accounting issues, collaborating with the team to find solutions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulations
- Maintain and follow up on any pending issues with staff and other departments
- Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to address and resolve accounting-related matters
- Supervise daily review of transactions, ensuring proper backup documentation and accuracy
- Monitor the posting of entries into the accounting system, ensuring compliance with internal controls and accounting policies
- Take charge of reviewing and reconciling general ledger accounts to ensure accuracy and completeness of financial data
- Proactively investigate and resolve complex discrepancies or errors, providing guidance and support to team members
- Lead and supervise a team of accounting professionals, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure their professional growth and development
- Secondary
- Prepare inter-company and related party transactions and reconcile data with subsidiaries and related parties, ensuring accuracy and consistency
- Support preparing financial statements and financial reporting packages for management and Glovis Korea HQ
- Ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with reporting requirements
- Coordinate month-end and quarter-end audits with the External Auditors. Support auditors by providing requested documents and explanations
- Prepare quarterly footnotes and financial statements
- Assign auditor requests and follow up with the accounting team to meet deadlines
- Review and recommend modifications to accounting systems and procedures
- Document policies, procedures, and workflows for assigned areas of responsibility
- Contribute to the development and establishment of accounting policies, procedures, and operational strategies
- Review and implement process and system changes as required
- Participate in department and organization special projects as assigned

Compensation Range
$78,000 – $90,000per year(Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)

Summary
The Administrator, Compliance Auditor will identify improper documentation and policies within Glovis and make recommendations to maintain compliance within company guidelines and standards. This position is responsible for monitoring and reporting any risks or potential risks that do not align with the Glovis standard.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and Report Existing and/or Potential Risks
- Audit policies and procedures of various departments within Glovis and its subsidiaries to ensure accuracy and compliance with company guidelines and standards
- Review approval processes to ensure a checks and balances system within the organization
- Identify and investigate areas of concern within various departments of the organization
- Research identified issues thoroughly and make recommendations to improve policies and procedures
- Analyze potential risks and ensure compliance throughout Glovis
- Track reported violations and make suggestions for necessary updates
- Prepare and Manage Documentation and Reports
- Assist manager with developing compliance auditing plans based on thorough research
- Provide employee training on compliance related topics, policies and procedures
- Assist with internal audits
- Maintain documentation of compliance reports
- Prepare reports for management regarding compliance operations and progress
- Other Duties as Assigned
- Ad hoc projects may be assigned by management
Compensation Range
$69,000- $76,000 per year (Subject to Compensation Study Upon Candidate Selection)
