Department Overview
The Process and Procedures team works with Distribution Operations and others to ensure new technology changes and systems align well with the business process. This includes exceptional understanding of process mapping from design, gap analysis, and change management impacts. In addition, we are responsible for maintaining the appropriate guidance documents for Distribution Operators and understand the association to other impacted departments (substation, test, and line construction).

Position Summary
Serves as an integral strategic partner and business liaison in technology decisions who understands user needs as well as business content, procedures, processes and systems for the corresponding business unit(s). Supervises teams that partner with business process owners and systems end users to define system requirements, provide user support, coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT) of new tools. Consults with the business on new technologies and features that contribute to business process efficiencies.

PG&E is providing the salary range that the company in good faith believes it might pay for this position at the time of the job posting. This compensation range is specific to the locality of the job. The actual salary paid to an individual will be based on multiple factors, including, but not limited to, specific skills, education, licenses or certifications, experience, market value, geographic location, and internal equity.

A reasonable salary range is:
• Minimum (Bay Area) $118,000.00
• Maximum (Bay Area) $188,000.00
• Minimum Salary (California) $112,000.00
• Maximum (California) $179,000.00

Job Responsibilities
• Apply expert understanding of the impact(s) of technical changes to the business processes across the assigned line of business.
• Ensures efficient gathering, analyzing and documentation of business requirements.
• Ensures team analyzes and understands the end- to-end complex business processes and coordinates with IT to develop and implement solutions to meet business requirements.
• Leads team to provide ongoing technical user support of assigned business system or tool(s).
• Develop and deliver or partner with others on end user training.
• May develop and maintain metrics for assigned systems/tools and/or projects.
• May participate in longer term technology strategy development.
• Monitors systems/tools performance and Provides proactive, timely and professional communications to users regarding system status, changes or enhancements.
• Partner with stakeholders and others to ensure support from team is as expected or required
• Provides daily oversight to a team of Business Systems Specialists involved in implementing user requirements and supporting assigned business systems.
• Supervises small to medium staff of specialists.
• Supervises team to accomplish results through recruitment and selection, training and development, performance management, and rewards and recognition.
• Team may provide provides prototype demonstrations.
• Typically assigned to one business system/tool affecting a smaller user group or to a part of a larger application that affects an entire line of business.
• Create and maintain Guidance documents (Procedures, bulletins) for Distribution Operators. This includes the current state procedures as well as development of as-need bulletins for technology changes, process changes, CAP items, and others.
• Provide support to ADMS Project (Advanced Distribution Management System) for as-is and to-be process mapping for impacted stakeholders.

Qualifications
Minimum:

• BA/BS in Business, Engineering, Computer Science/Information Systems, etc. or equivalent work experience.
• 5 years of job related experience in Business, IT or Engineering fields.

Desired:
• Experience in business analysis, 5 years
• Experience in project management
• Experience in IT-Information Technology, or other job-related, 3 years
• Experience with work management processes
• Strong knowledge of the business requirements process.
• Supervisory/leadership ability.
• Detail oriented, analytical, good oral and written communication skills.
• Strong knowledge and working experience with the utility business and multiple corresponding Line of Business-related functional areas.
• Ability to work with different teams across disciplines and levels and promote good work environment.
• Good understanding of the business processes of department(s) supported and the impact(s) of technical changes to the collective business processes across functional units.
• Ability to contribute to business development.
