Job Summary

The Guardianship Services Supervisor provides supervision/monitoring of services for vulnerable adults in need of food, clothing, shelter, and healthcare. They are responsible for ensuring that County administered state services are being provided in the most least- restrictive way. The Supervisor will ensure that expenditures remain within budgeted amounts and that qualified and trained staff are providing those services.
Examples of Duties
- Develops, monitors, and analyzes guardianship services budget in compliance with State, Federal, and County mandates.
- Monitors delivery of guardianship services by individuals served, providers, and families.
- Supervises and develops staff to ensure that appropriate services are provided to individuals served according to best practices and standards indicated by State, and County entities.
- Meets the needs of the individual as directed by the Court.
- Actively participates in the development and/or planning of individual program activities.
- Responds to crisis and emergencies in a timely and effective manner.
- Attends required training sessions and meetings as directed.
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in social work or related human services field, and five years of experience as a County Social Worker, OR a Master’s degree in social work, and one year of previous experience or equivalent. A valid Driver’s license required upon hire.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS:Post hire training and continuing education in DHS security.
PREFFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Master’s degree in social work, and one year of previous experience or equivalent. Bi-lingual in Somali or Spanish.

SUPPLEMENTAL INFORMATION: Non-Union, Exempt – Grade 14
HOURS: Normal business hours are 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, Monday – Friday. Full-time hours equal 40 hours per week.
