Required Skills
- Strong analytics, logic, and math skill.
- Understanding of related data systems: Excel, Access, Unify, IDW.
- Familiarity with presentation software: PowerPoint.
- Ability to effectively sort, filter, and create exception-based reporting.
- Ability to render large scale data into visualizations to effectively display insights.
- Comfort working with all levels of company organizations including analysts, managers, directors, and c-suite personnel.
- Understanding of product movement and overview of supply chain process including but not limited to: Forecasting, Purchase Order, Warehouse and Club Inventory, and Item/Club/Day level data.
- Ability to effectively explain complex functions and processes to individuals unfamiliar with underlying data.
Primary Responsibilities
- Work with Retailer and Vendor clients in development and publication of standardized reporting to cover primary business needs and review for product movement and retail execution.
- Understand available data, standard calculations, along with hierarchical structures for geography, product, and reporting calendars.
- Assist retailer and vendor clients in identifying key performance indicators needed to limit reporting scope for efficient insights.
- Educate retailer, vendor, and Circana personnel in supply chain model function, measure calculation, and insights.
- Develop ad-hoc reporting on an as needed bases for internal and external partners.
- Identify and help correct error in model caused by changes in data, retailer processes, calculations, or other file issues.
- Help identify monetary gains or improvements to clients with regards to sales and retention.
Primary Audiences
Retailer Client – Working with retailer clients requires an understanding of their everyday process with regards to product movement over the whole lifecycle of a product from original order, to cut in, to maintenance, promotion, resets, loss and reclaim, and end of life rundown.
Position involves and ongoing understanding of corporate structure, department responsibilities, and reporting needs as well as any changes that may occur.
Vendor Client – Working with vendor clients requires an understanding of the reporting needs for the client and how they partner with retailer clients or third-party product managers. Vendor clients will tend to focus on single areas of business or product life cycle that will necessitate custom or ad-hoc reporting. Vendors most commonly have new, incoming representatives as primary data users requiring training on the various reports and systems.
Circana Internal – Working with internal Circana employees requires the ability to overlay supply chain reporting with other reporting from market and panel reporting for additional understanding and insight into the retailer execution of a particular timeframe, promotional program, or change in product or operation. An understanding of the strengths of each model is required to ensure that the various reporting options are able to convey a comprehensive insight to the business needs.
The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An employee’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs. The salary range for this role is $110,000 to $160,000.
This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
