North America Supply Chain Operations team is looking for a supply chain manager who will work on highly visible strategic projects that will influence critical decisions.
The ideal candidate will have excellent statistical and analytical abilities, outstanding acumen and judgment, intense curiosity, strong technical skills, and superior written and verbal communication skills. S/he will be a self-starter, comfortable with ambiguity, able to think and be creative (while paying careful attention to detail), and enjoys working in a fast-paced dynamic environment. To be successful in this role, you should have broad skills in base design, be comfortable dealing with large and complex sets, have experience building self-service dashboards and using visualization tools, while always applying analytical rigor to solve problems. In addition to leading the design, development, and management of our analytical tools and reporting, we will also look to this person to provide thought leadership and analysis support as needed. Your analytics will be used primarily by the Capacity Planning team, but will have influence on Capacity Execution, and Demand Planning teams. You will gain knowledge about Amazon’s operations in the capacity planning and forecasting space. You will work as a liaison with different stakeholders (Product Managers, Program Managers, Technical Engineers, Ops Engineering, Finance, and SCOT) in order to diagnose and solve complex problems by analyzing and providing recommendations. You will experience a wide range of problem solving situations, strategic to real-time, requiring extensive use of collection and analysis.
Key job responsibilities
• Work across cross functional teams to create the best possible capacity plan for current/future years within US fulfillment network.
• Analyze key metrics to uncover trends and root causes of issues
• Suggest and work with BA/BIE’s to build new metrics and analysis that enable better perspective on
• Capture the right metrics to influence stakeholders and measure success
• Develop domain expertise and apply to operational problems to find solution
• In-depth research of capacity-related issues, i.e., fullness, space utilization etc
• Work to create white papers and planning cycle documents to influence Directors and VP’s.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 3+ years within supply chain related field within amazon
– Excel expertise
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– Knowledge of Excel at an intermediate level (e.g., pivot tables & charts, multiple criteria lookups, nested logical/IF formulas, data cleansing, array formulas, etc.)

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
