The Last Mile Delivery team is looking for a Middle Mile Planning Manager to plan middle mile configurations and connectivity for new and existing rural delivery stations across North America.
Amazon Rural Last Mile Delivery is an emerging organization that executes delivery of small parcel and heavy/bulky packages across North America. We merge multiple service types to enhance the customer experience in communities which we don’t currently serve.
The Middle Mile Sr. Supply Chain Manager role will be diving deep into configurations and data while simultaneously thinking big, building long-term strategic designs that optimize for cost, coverage, speed, and, most importantly, Customer experience. The candidate will communicate these designs and strategic visions to leadership across retail, transportation operations, technology teams, and senior leadership.

Key job responsibilities
Utilize exceptional problem-solving skills to work through difficult challenges,
• Define metrics to measure and monitor supply chain performance, inbound flows, and transportation metrics
• Interact with and influence field operations leaders on middle mile execution escalations impacting UTR/LM performance
• Work with technology teams and product managers to develop new tools and systems to support the continued growth of the business
• Develop High Volume Event strategies to solve for constraints where delivery capacities are more than doubled
• Lead end-to-end initiatives involving multiple stakeholders, both internal to the RSR program and external partner teams from other Amazon organizations
• Regularly review volume availability and line haul schedule performance in the network and proactively seek out connection improvements building stakeholder buy in and alignment from upstream and downstream partners.
• Influence external teams to align with RSR program goals and capabilities, to deliver optimal middle mile solves that eliminate blockers to volume availability and line haul performance.
• Travel domestically up to 25%.
Rural Super Rural is building a delivery strategy for low density areas in US & Canada. This role will help define Network Planning approaches to effectively provide these services. The role requires use of Advanced Excel, SQL and Tableau along with background in middle mile and last mile logistics

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– 5+ years of supply chain experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
