This role is for a Managing Supply Chain Manager who oversees and is responsible for the creation, execution, and results of the Mid Term Volume Plan for the entire NA network in Rural Super Rural (RSR).
What is RSR?
Rural Super Rural (RSR) is an emerging organization that executes delivery of small parcel and heavy/bulky packages in rural communities across North America. We merge multiple service types to enhance the customer experience in communities which we don’t currently service including scheduled delivery of bulky freight and customer facing services to accept customer returns.
The Role:
The Mid Term Planning Manager’s team is responsible for creating the 13 week plan for the entire network which reviews customer demand and attainment to determine a Total Volume Available the Topologies which RSR operates within. They maximize outputs and hiring capabilities of under the roof and on the road teams to drive network volume to meet or exceed targets and reduce overscheduling or under planning. The MTP Manager oversees critical business KPIs such as planning WAPE, Shipments per route estimates, scheduled to planned volume, variable and fixed costs and more. They will be oversee for multiple regions and sites across North America and will interface with multi Level Leadership up L8/L10 to drive planning success and identify opportunities to balance station capacity with topline volume and ramping performance. They will closely work with North America Transportation and Supply Chain stakeholders to balance volume across their territories and work to identify and solve volume flow issues related to capacity, middle mile connections, and configuration errors. The MTP Manager also partners closely with partner programs to drive relationships and volume share for the program. They develop a large number of relationships with diverse teams, maintains frequent contact with these teams, and have a broad understanding of the functioning of the network.
The role is a People Manager which has SCMs and PMs for Mid Term Planning, OTR Shipments per Route, and Partner Program MTP generation.
Key job responsibilities
– Hire and develop the best. Influence the growth and development of a team of MTP PMs and SCMs.
– Redesign as needed the flow of information to best fit the end customer
– Influence design and development of strategic processes and volume fill.
– Work with program managers, business leaders and executive team to communicate and impact critical business initiatives
– Reduce planning WAPE in MTP
– Lead HVE Planning and tactical volume strategy discussions
– Develop, implement, and govern key performance indicators (KPI) reporting for a portfolio of programs, providing visibility to the milestones and performance across all projects
– Establish and continually improve the consistency, predictability, and efficiency of the organization’s project delivery capability by providing leadership in best practices
– Engage other Amazon business units globally to share best practices and improve end to end volume flow.
– Identify volume flow maps from customer click to the RSR network and identify and solve issues with packages coming into the network
– Travel domestically up to 25%

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
– 5+ years of program or project management experience
– 5+ years of supply chain experience
– Experience using data and metrics to determine and drive improvements
– Experience owning program strategy, end to end delivery, and communicating results to senior leadership
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
– 2+ years of driving process improvements experience
– Master’s degree, or MBA in business, operations, human resources, adult education, organizational development, instructional design or related field

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $92,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $181,400/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
