Support Engineer, Creator Technology

The Creator Economics team is looking for Support Engineer to help build, scale and operate intelligent payment economics solutions to deliver impact, and drive growth of the Amazon Associates Program worldwide. We’re an enabler for Amazon Associates’ rapid growth, responsible for ensuring efficiency and effectiveness of the affiliate marketing spend for Amazon WW. We offer a singular solution to manage all of the affiliate marketing budgets, promotions and payments in real-time while being transparent and audit-able from the ground-up.

Key job responsibilities

We are looking for Support Engineer to own and commit to the operational excellence of the many software services that are responsible to process hundreds of millions of dollars of payments to creators. You will embed with the engineering teams to work hand in hand focusing on improving the overall quality of the software solution by participating in process reviews, identifying and mitigating support risks, developing metrics, defining SLAs, writing tools and run books, root cause and solve tickets.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Own setting up payment plan, running monthly payment audits, creating scripts to check that payments actually worked, and executing controlled changes related to incentive payments.
  • Work on operations and maintenance driven coding projects, primarily in Java and Python.
  • Provide support of incoming tickets, including extensive troubleshooting tasks, with responsibilities covering multiple products, features and services.
  • Software deployment support in staging and production environments.
  • Develop tools to aid operations and maintenance.
  • System and Support status reporting.
  • Work with the development team to automate features

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of software development, or 2+ years of technical support experience
  • Experience scripting in modern program languages
  • Experience troubleshooting and debugging technical systems

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 3+ years of technical support experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $59,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $150,300/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
