The SDSU IT Support Desk is growing, and we need a position to support our Rapid City locations. If you are looking for an opportunity to learn and grow your technology skills, this may be the opportunity for you!
Job Responsibilities: Provides advanced computer support activities and directs projects to ensure clients computers are functional and performing efficiently. This would include computer labs, equipment, classrooms, simulation rooms etc. This position primarily supports SDSU Rapid City locations with remote support to other locations as needed.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Knowledge of:
- A wide variety of computer software, hardware, and peripherals
- University IT Security standards and incorporates that knowledge in the support process.
- Interpersonal and customer service skills in assisting and responding to questions from users.
- Hardware and software troubleshooting
- Experience in installing operating systems and software.
- Industry standards such as ITIL (information technology infrastructure library), ITSM (information technology service management)
Skill & Ability to:
- Diagnose and resolve workstation, laptop, and network problems.
- Operate a variety of software applications.
- Establish effective working relationships.
- Communicate effectively with others.
- Work as part of a team
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn.
Required License: Valid driver’s license.
