Pay, Perks, and Benefits

About This Position

This position interacts closely with end-users and operators to assist in the restoration of services and to identify and help correct core problems. This position resolves basic-to-moderate problems in support of the Information Technology Manager and escalates issues accordingly. You will provide support for computer, application, system, device, access, and hardware issues and respond to all requests for technical support across various mediums. Documents, tracks, and monitors the problem using applicable systems and tools while proactively maintaining, patching, updating, and replacing systems when needed. Core responsibilities include (but are not limited to) the following:

  • Provide end-user technical support via phone, internal ticketing system, and in-person to resolve open tickets while tailoring communication style and troubleshooting delivery to match knowledge or skill level of end-user.
  • Record, track and document the support desk request problem-solving process, including all actions taken, through to final resolution, and user communication.
  • Perform hands-on fixes at the desktop level, including installing and upgrading software, installing hardware, implementing file backups, and configuring systems and applications.
  • Interface with guests, groups, and banquet staff for audio visual, phone, television and network needs.
  • Work with Food and Beverage and Banquet staff to respond to point of sale issues.
  • Perform core user administration across active directory, azure, and various other software and network systems including password management, security groups, and distribution lists.
  • Ensure the safety and security of all company data, maintaining confidentiality at all times.
  • Test, diagnose and resolve end user hardware, OS and application problems, including the ability to identify desktop application interdependencies and or conflicts.

Our Process and Timeline

  • Applications will be screened for the necessary qualifications, whereupon selected candidates will be scheduled for an initial interview with our Information Systems Director.
  • Upon completing a successful interview, the candidate will be given a skills assessment approximately 30~45 minutes in length to evaluate their level of skill in the various functions of the job. Afterwards the candidate will have an opportunity to discuss the results and thought process with the Information Systems Director.
  • If both of the above are met successfully the candidate will then interview with members of our IT Committee who will then confer to make a hiring decision.

Requirements

Qualifications

  • Thursday through Sunday availability, required.
  • 2+ years of hands-on working experience with computer hardware and peripherals in a corporate environment, required.
  • Associate’s Degree in IT-related field, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of Windows 8/10/11, Office 2016 and newer, and Windows Server OS, required.
  • Strong familiarity of Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, required.
  • Working knowledge of Point-of -Sale systems, PC hardware, and printing systems, required.
  • Working knowledge and troubleshooting capability of Audio/Visual systems, required.
  • Familiarity with VoIP and analog phone systems, preferred.
  • Working knowledge of networking concepts, routing, and switching functions, required.
  • Displays a customer-centric mindset when communicating with end-users, always putting their needs and satisfaction first, required.
  • Lift and/or move PCs, monitors, servers, and associated equipment as needed, required.
  • Previous hotel/hospitality experience, a plus.
