The Sustainability and Energy Policy Program Manager will be responsible for providing program management and support for the Corporate External and Legal Affairs (CELA) Environmental Sustainability (ES) policy team and cross-company sustainability policy work-streams. This includes project management for the Electricity Policy Workgroup, corporate sustainability reporting initiatives, and Microsoft’s engagement in global climate fora including the United Nations Framework for the Convention of Climate Change (UNFCCC) Conference of the Parties (COP). The Program Manager will also be responsible for preparing reports and presentations on sustainability policy initiatives and advocacy efforts, meeting and event preparation and planning, and building relationships and coordinating with internal and external stakeholders for sustainability program execution.
Qualifications:
Required/Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree AND 1+ years experience in program management, business management , or related field in a technology organization, corporate, non-profit or governmental agency
- OR 3+ years experience in program management, business management , or related field in a technology organization, corporate, non-profit or governmental agency
Preferred Qualification:
- Ability to communicate effectively across groups and stakeholders
- Attention to detail, strategic execution, and ability to maintain confidentiality and follow corporate policy and ethics guidelines
- Ability to work independently, adhere to deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated knowledge of energy and sustainability issues and government policies
- Proficiency in Microsoft technology and products, including Office Suite
Corporate Social Responsibility IC3 – The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $80,900 – $162,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $105,300 – $176,900 per year.

- Schedule team and stakeholder meetings, manage the rhythm of business, drive communications, track milestone progress, create meeting content, reports and presentations, coordinate event planning and support budget management for Sustainability Policy Team and cross-team initiatives.
