Role and Responsibilities

  • Broad knowledge of infrastructure functions (Network, Server, Cloud).
  • Ability to identify creative infrastructure solutions to complex business technology problems.
  • Proven technology leader with ability to work with disparate groups to identify process and/or technology gaps.
  • Experience with infrastructure cloud transformation activities. (Privileged Access Management, VNet’s, Resource Groups, VM/VDI, cost management, VWans, peering, and route tables)
  • Experience with Cisco Meraki management (Templates, traffic shaping, Group policies, content filtering, etc)
  • Work with the Information Security and Software Development departments to ensure consistency, security, and resource access.
  • Collaborate with development, security, and network admin teams to deliver high quality, resilient, and secure cloud solutions.
  • Actively triage and resolve Production incidents related to the server/cloud platforms and participate in root cause analysis and retrospective discussions.
  • Use industry knowledge and experience to continuously assess the environment and drive improvements that use the latest technology.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in our pre-production and production environments.
  • Respond to system admin related jira support tickets.
  • Ability to mentor and train team members to ensure that they remain productive and educated on business infrastructure.
  • Proven ability to organize, prioritize, and communicate essential technology issues to upper management.
  • Ensure that a baseline “keeping the lights on” activities are performed to ensure a proactive response to potential technology problems.
  • Experience managing and working with offshore infrastructure IT resources.
  • Ensure that all disaster recovery backup solutions are healthy and tested regularly for all systems.
  • Perform and respond to routine performance monitoring, event log monitoring and maintenance tasks on all servers using all available tools. (ArticWolf, Qualys, PDQ)
  • Perform scheduled preventative maintenance based on server schedules as well as gaining approval from the Change control board.
  • Ensure that all new users are properly licensed and setup prior to their company start date.
  • Escalation point for all system related incidents to include remediation, ensure communication, and root cause analysis. Will ensure that incidents are properly tracked in the team Incident Tracker Excel document.
  • Take primary ownership of Office365 administration to include, mail, teams, and eDiscovery requests including the “clawing back” of emails, prior to HR approval.
  • Evaluate and make recommendations to improve IT processes and services.
  • Ability to organize, multitask, and prioritize assigned work.
  • Manage Vendors to provide on-going support/maintenance and other aspects of the relationship such as services and hardware/software upgrades and new purchases.

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively across organizational boundaries and within groups
  • Experience with core DevOps tools, processes, and concepts
  • Experience with architecting, implementing, and maintaining highly available mission critical environments for 24×7 availability.
  • Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and ability to work well under pressure.
  • Current understanding of best practices regarding system security measures
  • Experience developing engineering applications for a large corporation
  • Experience in Agile software development methods.
  • Professional experience and a high-level understanding of working with various operating systems and their implications
  • Learn, coach, and share knowledge and skills with other system/network administrators.
  • Provide backfill support on system administration projects and responsibilities
  • Consistently provide high quality work in a deadline driven environment.
  • 10+ experience as a system administrator in a retail environment
  • Demonstrated history of working within deadlines and ability to work well under pressure.

Salary Range: $74,933 – $122,141
